The DIY Concrete House Ring is a gift that just keeps on giving! As an architect (in training) the design of the DIY Concrete House Ring is rooted in the architecture and construction industry.
The concept of reuse and recycling is vital to the industry and so its only fitting that the DIY Concrete House Ring kit allows you to reuse your silicone mould again and again to create new and unique design propositions.
My favourite trick is to create a replica crayon ring providing a beautiful juxtaposition between the permanency of concrete and temporality of wax. Its a great way to involve your family (kids love this one!) or create gifts for other people.
The below rings were created by melting crayola crayons and pouring the liquid into the used mould. So incredibly simple and each ring takes less than 5 minutes to make! There is also some great online resources if you would like to make your own mixture from scratch.
I will keep you updated with more reuse ideas throughout the kickstarter campaign and beyond! Be sure to get in touch if you would like to see me make anything in particular: [email protected]
