My Last.fm discovery – The Flatliners

Last.fm is a UK-based Internet radio and music community website, founded in 2002. Based on what you listen to, Last.fm recommends you new music – and that my friends is how i discovered The Flatliners! The Flatliners are the youngest ever band to be signed to fat wreck cords and recently picked up song of the year at the Punk-O-Rama F.U. Awards.

“The Flatliners are a ska-punk band which formed in 2002, straight from Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada. They describe their music as “a combination of two-tone ska and brain hemorrhaging punk rock” – what they affectionately call “skunk rawk.” The Flatliners consist of four members: Scott Brigham (guitar), Paul Ramirez (drums), Chris Cresswell (vocals and guitar), and Jon Darbey (bass).” Source: Flatliners Last.fm profile.

The Flatliners have shared the stage with incredible bands – including Bad Religion, NOFX, The Suicide Machines, Anti-Flag, Less than Jake, The Lawrence Arms, No Use For A Name, Catch 22, BigWig, Death By Stereo, A Wilhelm Scream, None More Black and Strike Anywhere.

Still waiting for the Australian tour though!
